Will I have little brother or little sister after PM announce the plan to boost its flagging birth rate on National Day Rally last night ?
I doubt so….

- Paid maternity leave from 12 weeks to 16 weeks. (might kenna retrench after 16wks)

- Larger baby bonus for first time parents (not applicable)

- More tax incentives to encourage mothers to work (not much impact)

- More incentives for the fifth and subsequent children (not applicable)

- More financial support for couples who go for In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) treatment (not applicable at the moment)

- Childcare leave from two days extended to six days per year till 7yrs old (extra 4 days)

- One week unpaid infant care leave per year until baby turns two years old (only applicable unless no caregiver)

- 200 new childcare centres creating 20,000 places over the next five years (only applicable unless no caregiver)
