The Red Rose

In Mr Singh garden, there was a red rose…
‘AH’ said the caterpillar, ‘I see a red rose’,
‘AH’ said the bird, ‘I see a caterpillar’,
‘AH’ said the cat, ‘I see a bird’,
‘AH’ said the dog, ‘I see a cat’.

Mr Singh went to the window,
‘AH’ said Mr Singh, ‘I see a dog and it is in my garden’.
Mr Singh went outside,
‘I see a red rose’ said Mr Singh and he picked it

‘Gone’ said the caterpillar,
‘Gone’ said the bird,
‘Gone’ said the cat,
‘Gone’ said the dog,

Mr Singh went to Mrs Singh and said
‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY ! My Dear’
Mrs Singh said ‘AH’ a red rose !

We had a play on “The Red Rose” at the Eco-Garden today during our English lesson. Mrs O brought roses for the play and the whole class were involved; some take up the role of the Caterpillar, the Bird, the Cat & the Dog. Kyler & Winnie were Mr & Mrs Singh whereas I’m the Cat & Narrator :)

In the end of the lesson, Yu Bin, Kyler & I were given the red rose for been ‘best’ actors in the play.

I gave mummy the red rose and wish her "Happy Valentine's Day!"
