迎财神

Every year we will go 洛阳大伯公 to pai pai (praying) after we had our reunion dinner at 奶奶 house.

As this year is the year of Ox, 洛阳大伯公 had real ‘Ox’ (祥牛) 拉着金银元宝车载着财神爷近入洛阳大伯公，进行迎财神典礼。Everyone including us wanted to 'witnesss' the 祥牛 and hope it will bring us luck throughout the year.

As usual, the place was filled with people; I could hardly squeeze in. Daddy was our family representative, he will do the pai pai whereas mummy and I stayed by the side to watch the ceremony and ‘sayang’ the cows.

The helpers from the temple giving out ‘Poppers’ to all the kids for welcoming Lunar New Year ! When the clock strike midnight, the kids pulled the poppers and the adults wishes each other ‘Happy ‘牛’ Year!’
