Saw many Long Gan trees, Dragon fruits, pomelo trees and ‘water coconut’ (Ah Tap Chee) and many many other plants which I dun even know their name :p (mummy also sua ku, dunno the names). Most of them can’t find back in S’pore. The local people were very friendly, served us honey + lime drinks, tropical fruits and have ‘life band’ with traditional folk music. We waved goodbye after the entertainment, Mom gave some $$ as a token of appreciation and we continue our journey by taking a ‘sampan’ boat ride on a narrow waterways overhung with dense vegetation back to our boat and heading for lunch.
Had lunch at the local garden restaurant, ate their famous dish – Elephant Ear Fish, our tour guide Mr Tuan told us come to Mekong Delta it is a 'must' to taste the fish, think is their signature dish & symbol of Mekong (hehehe.. the latter was i anyhow say wan hor). The local called it Elephant Ear cos the shape of the fish looks like the ear of Elephant.
